This reservation covers both our 2 lb and 3 lb Italian × Carniolan hybrid packages (each with a mated VSH Pol-line 2.2 queen). Choose your size at checkout. You pay a deposit now instead of the full amount — your spot and the early pricing are locked in.

Your deposit is applied in full toward the final balance. We’ll send the remaining invoice the first part of April. You keep the guaranteed bees and locked-in price without paying everything up front.

Same Bees, Same Genetics

Every reserved package comes with a mated VSH Pol-line 2.2 queen — the same USDA-developed, treatment-tested, winter-proven genetics we run ourselves. These bees interrupt mite reproduction in capped brood instead of just cleaning up afterward. Strong spring buildup, workable temperament, and selected for both mite resistance and honey production.

We also run a complementary Latshaw line, giving you genetics from one of the more diverse, proven-resistant programs in the Upper Midwest.

• Shipping available — select at checkout, how you plan to get the bees (no worries if you need to change it later)
• Ordering 5+? Automatic bulk pricing still applies

How the Reservation Works

1. Pay the deposit today and choose 2 lb or 3 lb to secure your package(s) and lock the price.
2. In early April we send the final invoice for the remaining balance.
3. Your deposit is automatically deducted from that total.
4. Once the balance is paid, your bees are confirmed for pickup or shipping on the same schedule as full pre-orders.

We sold out in 2026 and turned away more than 100 orders. Reserving is the cleanest way to guarantee your bees while keeping more cash on hand until spring.

Shipping, Pickup & Terms

Pickup is always preferred for the healthiest arrival. Shipping is available, but once packages leave our care we cannot guarantee live arrival (weather, handling, and transit are outside our control). We handle issues case-by-case.
